"The Ishinomaki Hibi Shimbun, which published handwritten newspapers amid the devastation caused by last year's earthquake and tsunami, opened a facility Thursday to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the paper's first publication in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture." reports the Daily Yomiuri Online.

"The first floor of the facility, named "Kizuna no Eki" (Station of interpersonal bonds), is a museum exhibiting newspapers that were pinned up on the walls of evacuation centers and pictures showing the city just after the earthquake and tsunami."
